Maryland Launches New Website to Claim Refunds as a Result of Wynne

October 23, 2015

By David Venanzi

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and Comptroller Peter Franchot launched a new website to help Maryland taxpayers receive refunds in the wake of the decision in Comptroller of the Treasury of Maryland v. Wynne.

As determined by the decision of Wynne, Maryland residents who filed and paid income taxes to another state during 2010 – 2014 may be entitled to receive a refund against the county portion of their Maryland state income taxes.  This applies primarily to owners or partners of firms operating in other jurisdictions who receive “pass through” income from that business.  For more information on who’s eligible and how to claim your refund, visit
