Joseph Suarez is a Staff Consultant specializing in Process, Risk, and Technology Solutions (PRTS). He has experience assisting in SOX and JSOX compliance, finance and IT for both public and private entities. Joe also has experience in monitoring engagements under the supervision of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). These projects included evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of controls, identifying risks and deficiencies, and providing value-added recommendations.
Prior to joining the firm, Joe was a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at a not-for-profit organization for developmentally disabled individuals. Additionally, he worked at a fulfilment center for a multinational technology company that focuses on e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence where he processed orders and ensured purchase order accuracy. Joe also volunteered as an income tax preparer for the Internal Revenue Service.
Joe has written an article for the firm’s PRTS Intelligence Newsletter on The Importance of Mitigating, Monitoring, and Managing Shadow IT Organizations.
Joe is currently pursuing his Certified Public Accountant license.
