Job Description:

Company is a dynamic, emerging consumer brand seeking their first MANAGER OF FINANCE.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Oversees financial operations, accounting and FP&A and provide hands on management of activities related to accounting and finance including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, AP, AR, financial analysis, audit, stock administration, cashflow, payroll, tax, pricing and contracts
  • Manage an outsourced accounting team and legal counsel
  • Manage and improve month end close, internal and external reporting and future fundraising and M&A transactions
  • Recommend changes and updates to support business innovation and optimization
  • Build/maintain accounting infrastructure, and develop cost, accounting and finance controls to measure and optimize cost structure and business performance
  • Partner with the CEO, COO, and sales team and develop methods to track, analyze and report on key financial metrics
  • Work closely with departments to create and manage budgets, expenses and variance analysis
  • Drive accountability and timeliness to ensure achievement of operational and financial plans, and meet deadlines related to facilities, insurance and operations matters
  • Develop executive reporting that highlights KPI’s and financial trends for the leadership team and board, and provide with guidance on HR issues from a financial, legal and operational perspective
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data and internal metrics, and build systems that improve efficiencies and eliminate human error within sales team and across the organization
  • Build statistical models, create tools and perform in-depth analysis to identify patterns and key drivers that support strategic and informed decisions with product, sales, marketing and operations
  • Create, automate and maintain KPI dashboards to track performance
  • Update internal systems, making recommendations that are a long-term, sustainable solution
  • Develop tools and systems that make data access, extraction and analysis more automated and efficient
  • Bachelor’s degree (acctg or finance)from a respected university
  • 4-7 years of experience in corporate FP&A role or investment banking/private equity (consumer focus preferred)
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to foresee issues and develop solutions
  • Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements in line with US GAAP -hands on, entrepreneurial spirit and attitude
