Job Description: As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the President and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for financial planning, implementing, managing, reporting and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. The CFO will work closely with Operations, Sales, R&D, and Quality departments of the company to develop policies, procedures, reporting, analysis, recommendations and to implement solutions for ongoing business issues. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, human resources, information systems and technology, deal analysis and negotiations, and lender and investor relationships.

As CFO you will be responsible for direct supervision of all accounting and financial functions. Your primary responsibilities include supervision of the monthly close process, monthly reporting, monthly preparation of a reforecast, annual preparation of a budget, assist in the preparation of quarterly tax projections and annual tax return preparation and all treasury administration. The CFO will also create and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.

The CFO will act as the President’s “financial window” into the company, ensuring that senior management, ownership and the Board of Advisors are apprised on an on-going basis of all actual or potential changes in the financial condition of the company. The CFO will be responsible for driving profitability improvements and cost containment leadership as well as providing financial analysis with recommendations and implementation of solutions. In addition, he/she will be responsible for effectively communicating the company’s performance, progress and prospects.

Must Have Talents and Demonstrated Experience:
• Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
• Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.

• Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job
cost system.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/
strategies and regulatory action.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs
and seek full range of business solutions.
• Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
• Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the
Company
• Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business
opportunities.
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and
applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Planned and implemented successful corporate growth strategies and achieved corporate
objectives
• Provide innovative insights, drove key strategies and made decisions that delivered

• Upgraded software systems – Accounting, ERP, Internal systems transitions on time and on
budget

planning, cost estimating, customer relationship management, quality assurance tracking,
preventative maintenance, purchase order and sales order processing.

• Participate with Vice President of Operations in managing strategic supplier relationships
• Oversee the company’s IT system
• Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable
  • Minimum of 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in contract manufacturing and the personal care products industry.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Experience developing a scalable, high-performing platform with tested methodologies
  • Legal acumen (lawsuits - Worker's Comp, Liability)
  • Insurance acumen
  • Formal project management training is a plus
  • Broad technical expertise that will inspire and encourage creative, collaborative problem solving
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor evaluation and contract negotiation
  • Knowledge and mastery of defending the business case and comparative financial analysis
  • Able seamlessly move between setting a strategy and executing/implementing tactical solutions
