Overview:

Founded in 1908 our client is one of the oldest and most respected rug importers in the country.As a leader in both design and construction, they carry a full line of Casual, Lifestyle and Traditional imported rugs available in a wide assortment of sizes and variety of constructions. Each collection is carefully selected to be hand knotted, hand hooked, hand tufted, or hand woven from China and India or Wilton Woven machine-made rugs from Turkey and India.

 

Job Description Responsibilities include:

• Generating accurate and timely monthly internal financial statements and year-end review financial statements

• Liaison with outside accountants on annual reviewed financial statements and corporate and personal tax returns

• Cash management

•Generating Forecast for Factor

•Generating monthly Profit & Loss Projections

• Maintaining, analyzing and summarizing general ledger accounts

• Utilizing outside services to prepare bi-weekly payroll

• Preparing month-end and year-end closings including account analyses, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations

• Overseeing Accounts Payable

• Overseeing Accounts Receivable

• Insurance management

• Maintaining employee benefit plans including health and 401(K) plans

• Preparing month-end/annual commission, property tax returns, bank reports other required filings.

• Analyzing manufacturing costs and maintaining inventory costing system

• Ad-Hoc projects required

 

Skills required:

• Proficiency using Excel, QuickBooks, Outlook and Word is required. Familiarity with SAP Business One is a plus.

• Excellent written and oral communication

• Strong work ethic
