Savory is a boutique, multifaceted hospitality company based in the heart of New York City, offering a wide variety of culinary programs, specializing in meeting catering, events, and food and beverage operations. Savory offers hospitality services to an eclectic group of clients, including Fortune 100 corporate companies, world class cultural foundations, and luxury residential and corporate amenity programming.

Our state-of-the art commissary is located in Midtown Manhattan, one block south of Bryant Park. We have 10,000 square feet of high-volume capacity, which allows our 24 hour culinary teams to prepare fresh food from scratch and batch cook for each order. Our method allows more variety and diversity in our menus, and freshness to our clients.

We are the Food and Beverage Operating Partners with Little Island and have developed concepts as a cornerstone to delivering the little Island visitor experience.



This position’s objectives include providing month-end close reporting, managing the audit, financial analysis, forecasting, modeling and budgeting support to the CFO. This role will include recurring duties, as well as involvement in various special and ad hoc assignments.

Base compensation in the $130k-$150k range, DOE


Essential Job Functions:

● Oversee and support all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition

● Lead the preparation of the annual audit and supporting schedules to substantiate the numbers for outside CPA firm

● Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

● Support month-end and year-end close process

● Review and record journal entries required to properly reflect monthly activity

● Supervise payroll processing and 401k funding

● Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

● Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

● Prepare/ review key account reconciliations

● Manage a small team

● Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

● Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans

● Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions

● Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data

● Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

● Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions

● Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies




● Managing Processes, Financial Software, Developing Standards, Audit, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Tracking Budget Expenses, Financial Skills, Analyzing Information , Developing Budgets, Performance Management

● Manage multiple functions

● Big 4 or mid-sized Public Accounting foundation/CPA is a plus

● Strong background and work experience in finance

● Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and Restaurant 365 (a plus)

● Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

● Must be proficient in spreadsheet design

● Knowledge of contract management and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management, implementing best practices

● Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects and initiatives

● Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
