Our Client is a REIT that specializes in leased healthcare properties, capitalizing on growing
and dynamic macroeconomic trends. The firm owns and manages almost 10M sq ft of space
across 150+ properties nationwide and credits its success to its strong corporate culture and
its people.


The Senior Vice President of Financial Reporting, a new position, is responsible for all aspects
of the financial and Securities and Exchange Commission reporting. This position requires
the SVP to focus on accuracy of the periodic reports through an appropriate level of review.
This position includes technical accounting research related to new and proposed accounting
standards. This position supports and assists with the implementation, maintenance and
review of internal controls and corporate policies and procedures.

The SVP of Financial Reporting reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.


Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ensure SEC periodic reports such as Form 8K, 10Q, 10K are filed promptly and accurately.
• Oversee the preparation of other SEC filings, including filings under the Securities Act of 1933.
• Ensure compliance with SEC and FASB rules and regulations.
• Manages SEC filings related to XBRL reporting.
• Coordinates, directs and plans the financial reporting component of the external audit.
• Conducts, supports and assists with the internal audit and ongoing SOX compliance requirements.
• Critical review of new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards
issued by the SEC, FASB and eventual IFRS.
• Fully utilize the reporting team to ensure the appropriate level of review of periodic
reports and memos exists and to assist with the team’s growth and expertise.
• Manage a team of three accounting professionals.

 

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA active license status required.
• Six to ten years of experience in top-tier public accounting firms and/or public company environment required.
• Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems.
