Function of Position: This position will provide leadership and coordination of financial planning,
monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, forecasting, as well as special projects to ensure that financial
needs among all UAS departments are compliant, accurate, and coordinated in an efficient and timely
manner. This position is responsible to provide professional finance guidance and support all
departments to ensure that the assigned initiatives are accomplished successfully.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the UAS Accounting Department
  • Direct and coordinate the UAS financial planning and budget management functions
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
  • Monitor and analyze monthly and quarterly operating results against budget
  • Manage the preparation of all financial reports Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal budgetary reporting requirements
  • Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly in banking and financial negotiations
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other departments in establishing and carrying out financial responsibilities
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments’ goals and objectives
  • Assist in establishing short and long range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
  • Represent the company externally to government agencies, auditors, financial institutions, and the general public Ability to facilitate and oversee the process of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
  • All other duties as assigned




Education and Experience:
B.A. in Finance, Accounting or related field and a minimum of 10 years combined accounting/strategic
business development experience to include increasing levels of responsibility. In addition a minimum
of 5 years of supervisory/management experience. Ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced
environment with the ability to deliver high-value, high quality deliverables in a timely manner. Ability
to establish credibility and be decisive but able to recognize and support UAS’s preference and priorities
proactively.


Work Requirements:
Position can be sedentary at times and requires extended periods of PC exposure. Overnight travel and
ability to work beyond normal business hours is required.
