Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following, other duties may be assigned as needed:

 

Digital Assets

Manage the implementation of new products in digital asset space including partnerships, separate accounts and exchange traded funds.  This includes the set-up of service vendors, coordinating process flows and the development/implementation of trading and operational procedures. Oversee the accounting, tax and operations of our digital asset products as developed, including any registered and partnership products.

 

Partnership Products

Maintain procedures to insure accurate partner capital account/unit value calculations, including, among other accounts, accurate expense accruals and expense caps. Monitor trade processing including: trade transmission, position and trade reconciliation and exception resolution. Provide oversight over the movement of assets for subscription, redemption and expense processing. Manage daily cash activity and movements within the accounts and various outside sweep vehicles.

Act as liaison between the custodian, portfolio management, portfolio operations and Fund Administration to: Communicate and resolve PM, PA or IT problems or requests for services/reports Communicate and implement any custodian service or technology enhancements Manage the Administrator relationship including: Review of Administrator and Transfer Agency exception reports Review and sign-off of monthly closing reports for all funds Verification of calculated performance returns, if any Review of Administrator staffing levels and support Perform periodic internal control reviews of Administrator accounting, transfer agency and administration functions, i.e. - review of SOC 1 reports.

Assist in oversight and management of the subscription and redemption process with limited partners. Manage the roll-out of new products including coordinating: custodian, fund administration and portfolio operations set up and implementation of new internal PM and operational procedures.

Manage the expense process including: Facilitating approval and payment of expenses Setting expense budgets and monitoring costs for reasonableness Ensure that all financial reports and tax returns are filed timely and assist in the audit and tax return and K-1 process. Assist business development in client, consultant or due diligence requests relating to financials or operations. Work on any special projects assigned by Management.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty accurately and on a timely basis. This job currently has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may in the future.

 

Qualifications  

Accounting, tax and operational experience with digital assets preferred Working knowledge of investment partnership operations, accounting and taxation with custodians/administrators Possess strong communication skills and presence to interact with service providers, high net worth clients, potential clients, consultants and senior management Ability to work independently on work and projects Comfortable working with new product ideas and in developing processes and procedures to run these products Experience with financial reports 10K and 10Q and grantor trusts a plus A working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is required. Roll up your sleeve work ethic.

 

Education and/or Experience                                            

Qualified candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience with significant experience with investment partnership products College degree with a preferred concentration in Accounting. CPA designation a strong plus.
