Private Wealth Management firm located in midtown Manhattan is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its team.

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited school. The focus of the role is to support and enhance the accounting activities of the firm along with preparing financial reports. The firm offers a tremendous learning opportunity, through exposure to a sophisticated investment portfolio and an innovative private wealth structure.

The ideal candidate possesses a very good technical accounting background and strong communication skills. He/She should demonstrate a proven ability to juggle priorities and to produce results. This person is a proactive self-starter that can work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
 Accounting graduate with at least 3 years of experience
 Ability to analyze financial statements, including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flows and notes and disclosures to formulate findings
 Month end close activities
 Bank account reconciliation
 Maintain schedule of cash received from investments and capital calls funded
 Generate tax work papers from the General Ledger Accounting system for use by tax return preparers
 Familiarity with Federal and State Tax Returns
 Proficient in QuickBooks
 Excellent Excel Skills
 QuickBooks

The Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience:
 Working knowledge of Partnership Accounting and Investment Accounting
 Demonstrated experience working with Investment Capital Accounts - Individual and Trusts
 Understanding the accounting and bookkeeping for multiple and nested entities
 Investment Performance Reporting
 Experience with the SEI Archway system
 Familiarity with Form 1065 and Schedule K-1s.
