Job #1617: Private Wealth Financial Advisor - NYC, New York (5-19-21)

Job Title

Private Wealth Financial Advisor

New York

With offices across the country, Bernstein Private Wealth
Management attracts professionals from across all major
markets we serve. As a critical member of the team, the
Financial Advisor (FA) represents the firm’s face to the
market. The FA’s primary role is to become an expert in
understanding clients and connecting them with our firm’s
vast planning and global investing expertise, in a way that’s
unique to them.

Investing today is tough—there’s no rising tide to lift all
boats, so aligning investment goals and processes is more
important than ever. That’s what our financial advisors do.
And since many clients come to us after liquidity or other life
events, you could say we’re really in the business of making
money meaningful.

Our advisors also work with clients who are focused on
narrower goals, and provide stand-alone services targeted
to meet objectives. These Alternatives and Focused Equities
offer access to exceptional thematic and opportunistic
investment ideas uncovered by our in-depth global research
in both public and private markets.

What makes Bernstein advisors unique? Their backgrounds
are as varied as our clients. Our most successful advisors have
largely oriented their practice around their passions such as
working with entrepreneurs and business owners, non-profit
organizations, professional athletes, global families, artists
and collectors. While our advisors have diverse backgrounds
and perspectives, we have found the most effective financial
advisors embody the following characteristics:

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit
  • Intellectual Curiosity
  • High Emotional Quotient (“EQ”)
  • Grit, Determination, and Drive for Success
  • Spirit of Generosity in Working With and Within Their Community
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • An existing network that can be continuously cultivated and expanded within the community
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with centers of influence such as attorneys, accountants
    and business advisors
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals of significant wealth
  • Experience advising clients and being regarded as a trusted advisor, not only with financial decisions but for meaningful life and business decisions
  • Trustworthiness and personal integrity that is beyond reproach
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Structure and Discipline

AB ranks among the largest investment managers in the
world, with over $600 billion in assets under management. Our
clients include multigenerational families, entrepreneurs, and
executives, but we also work with endowments, foundations,
and other institutions. For our entire 50-year history we have
derived 100% of our business economics from investment
research and management. While most experienced
investment firms conduct research, the independent nature
of ours—as well as the sheer breadth and scale of our
effort—remains unmatched. And in an industry not typically
known for innovation, we understand the capital markets will
look different in the next 10 years compared to decades past.
We spend our R&D efforts ensuring our clients will be well
positioned for the future.
