A Senior Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the Talent Acquisition Unit. Effectively manages and administers Talent Acquisition programs in accordance with established policies, procedures and legal requirements. May assist with recruiting, screening, pre-employment background screening and onboarding of candidates to fill positions within the Bank.
Assists employees/managers with the resolution of HR matters related to Talent Acquisition functions. Supports the implementation & ongoing administration of various HR policies & procedures. Ensures written procedures and processes are accurate and compliant, updating, distributing and communicating changes as needed. Manages one or more various programs and processes including but not limited to the following: NYCB New Hire Onboarding program and Facilitates New Hire Orientation, NYCB’s Employee Referral Award Program, NYCB’s Visa and Immigration Program, Pre-employment consumer checks, including criminal, drug testing, DMV, education & employment verification, Oversees the completion of all administrative responsibilities related to the background screening process, I9 and E-Verify program(s), Manages temporary worker engagement and onboarding process. Data analytics, quality & governance to include: Coordinates distribution and data response collection of various reporting for the Talent Acquisition area including complement data, organizational charts, management reporting, invoicing and other functions as needed. Direct TA Recruiting support to include: Attends job fairs and professional events, Coordinates in-house events that support the Bank’s employment programs, Sources, screens and interviews candidates for other lines of business as needed. Regulatory Compliance to include: Ensures FCRA compliance in the on-boarding process, Ensures Federal compliance with regard to I9, e-verify and various immigration work visa sponsorship.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in HR related field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to employment.
• PC Proficient, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
• Good interviewing skills.
• Detail oriented and good organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate with various levels of staff and management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to travel to various office and branch locations as required.
