BHMS Investments, LP is a private investment firm focused on the North American middle market. The
firm was founded in 2010 and is based in Westport, Connecticut. BHMS invests in a wide variety of
control and structured equity opportunities ranging from consolidation strategies to conventional
leveraged buyouts to companies in financial distress. The firm focuses on industries in which it has deep
experience and relationships including Business & Insurance Services. BHMS is currently deploying
capital from its most recent fund, which it raised in 2017, and is closing its next fund in January 2021.

Position Overview

BHMS is seeking a VP of Portfolio Operations who is eager to join a growing private equity firm and
entrepreneurial work environment. The VP of Portfolio Operations will play an active role throughout the
lifecycle of the firm’s portfolio companies. Following the closing of a transaction, the VP of Portfolio
Operations will provide support to various company initiatives relating to business development,
marketing, human resources, operating and IT systems and risk protection. A successful VP of Portfolio
Operations will employ a team-oriented mentality, display excellent organizational skills and work
cooperatively across a variety of business initiatives.


  1. Liaise with portfolio company managers and spearhead certain strategic growth and operational initiatives
  2. Institutionalize processes and implement operational best practices in relation to vendor management, procurement and other shared services opportunities across portfolio companies
  3. Build out corporate infrastructure and support the recruitment and staffing of portfolio company personnel as necessary
  4. Oversee the integration of add-on acquisitions into portfolio companies

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in management consulting, private equity operations or corporate operational roles
  • Undergraduate degree and a strong record of academic achievement
  • Operates with a team player attitude and shows initiative and enthusiasm in seeking new challenges
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear manner
