Job Summary:

The Controller is expected to be a proven hands-on leader that has a background of strategic thinking and well versed to all aspects of accounting and financial functions.  The Controller will be mainly responsible for reviewing month-end reporting, managing partner relationships, capital requisitions and vendor invoicing, overseeing the annual budget process, managing and allocating cash accounts, financial statements, and tax data.  In addition, the Controller will be the point of contact for partners, banks, auditors and tax authorities.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day company cash accounts Oversee receivables (billing and collections) Ensure compliance with debt payments, covenants and reporting. Assist asset management in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly partner updates Assist with financial planning and oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow management Coordinate the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Work with the external independent CPA’s related to performance of Year End Financial Statements and Tax Returns Manage, mentor, coach and develop direct and indirect reports to build competencies and assure proper succession planning is available. Preparation of ad-hoc reporting for various assets

 

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA a plus 8+ years of experience (Real Estate preferred), private/public combination ideal with a proven track record of leadership Strong analytical background Excellent, hands-on knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting/filing etc.)  Full working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite of Services and willingness to embrace technology Ability to sit in on strategic meetings and give well thought out input Attention to details, organized, and a team player.
