Cobalt is growing and looking for a driven professional to join the team. Cobalt was founded in
2019 and is focused on fund administration within the alternative investment industry.


Team Responsibilities:


• Display firm understanding and knowledge of accounting concepts and current
accounting principals
• Have a basic understanding of the private equity and venture capital industry
• Independently preparing journal entries and maintain the general ledger of funds
• Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
• Calculating and recording capital calls and distributions
• Review of accruals and expense items
• Produce monthly/quarterly financial statement and footnotes
• Professionalism and responsiveness to liaise with clients
• Work with auditor and tax preparers for the funds
• Prepare capital account rollforwards and investor reports


Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 2 – 4 years of experience in audit or tax
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
• Previous experience in financial services is a plus
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn new systems, concepts, and broaden knowledge of the alternative investment industry
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact to Cobalt
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
