BHMS Investments, LP is a private investment firm focused on the North American middle market. The
firm was founded in 2010 and is based in Westport, Connecticut. BHMS invests in a wide variety of
control and structured equity opportunities ranging from consolidation strategies to conventional
leveraged buyouts to companies in financial distress. The firm focuses on industries in which it has deep
experience and relationships including Business & Insurance Services. BHMS is currently deploying
capital from its most recent fund, which it raised in 2017, and anticipates closing its next fund at the end
of 2020.

Position Overview

BHMS is seeking a versatile CFO who is eager to join a growing private equity firm and entrepreneurial
work environment. The CFO will manage the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, liaise with the
fund administrator and oversee the implementation of the firm’s expense allocation and valuation
policies. The CFO will also play an active role throughout the lifecycle of the firm’s portfolio companies.
Following the closing of a transaction, the CFO will oversee the recruitment and staffing of accounting
personnel and implement accounting best practices and monthly financial reporting templates. The CFO
will provide ongoing support to portfolio companies by assisting with annual budget forecasts, audits and
tax filing preparations. A successful CFO will employ a team-oriented mentality, display excellent
organizational skills and work cooperatively across a variety of business initiatives.

• Manage day-to-day financial operations for the firm including books and records, vendor
payments and payroll processing
• Liaise with fund administrator on capital calls and distributions
• Implement expense allocation and valuation policies
• Implement accounting and reporting best practices for portfolio companies
• Oversee the recruitment and staffing of portfolio company accounting personnel
• Support portfolio companies with annual budget forecasts, audits and the preparation of tax

Qualifications & Experience
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in public and/or private equity accounting
• CPA preferred
• Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting and a strong record of academic achievement
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Operates with a team player attitude and shows initiative and enthusiasm in seeking new
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear manner
