Job Description:

United Window and door is seeking a CFO to join the team. The CFO reports directly to the owners of the company. Job duties will include but are not limited to:


  • Update Cash Control Spreadsheet
  • Send current day incoming wire information to A/R
  • Update A/P
  • Update A/R Aging
  • Decide how much to mail for Vendor Payments
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliations


  • Balance prior day Cash Application
  • Balance A/R Daily by performing a "Roll Forward"
  • Periodically review Aging for all dealers over 90 days & review with Credit Mgr.


  • Balance A/P Daily by performing a "Roll Forward"
  • Review & sign-off on all invoices under my jurisdiction
  • Review Received, Not invoices file to determine Month-End Accrual
  • Code Misc. Payables by assigning General Ledger Distribution codes


  • Review & record payroll on a weekly basis
  • Calculate Employers P/R Tax Liability on a weekly basis
  • Review Quarterly Payroll Tax Returns
  • Balance W-2's
  • Prepare 1099 & send Certified Mail to Recipients
  • File 1099's with the IRS & State of NJ
  • Review 941 Return
  • Review W-3
  • Review Quarterly Unemployment Reports


  • Review General Sales Report actual vs. budgeted
  • Prepare Journal Entries for Cash, Payroll, Depreciation, Bonus Accrual, etc.
  • Prepare Income Statement & Balance Sheet - Current Month
  • Prepare Cumulative Income Statements & Balance Sheet by Month


  • Primary Contact with Bank
  • Calculate Covenants Semi-Annual & Annually
  • Provide the Bank with Quarterly Financial Statements


  • Review all Expense Reports and Post in Great Plains
  • Involved with all issues with the attorneys
  • Resolve Labor disputes with Local 2013
  • Perform administrative duties and handle operational requests with real estate properties
  • Trademarks & Patents
  • Review all Subpoena's served to Company
  • Manage work flow of department
  • Set priorities with IT Manager
  • Review project status
  • Determine how to complete projects in accordance with dates committed
  • Review Capital Assets requirements
  • Approve or Deny Capital Assets requests
  • Negotiate Annual Contracts - Medical, Dental, Life, STD & LTD
  • Enrollments Meetings
  • 401K
  • Main contact with Principal Financial


  • Prepare Company Annual Budget
  • Prepare Workpapers for Year End Audit
  • United Windows Representative with Negotiating Union Contract
  • Negotiate annual Accounting Fees
  • Fenevision
  • Control & Reconcile Year-End Physical Inventory to the General Ledger

Job Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance; advanced degree nice to have
  • CPA preferred
  • Comfortable interfacing with various internal departments and third party companies;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Outstanding organizational skills and work ethic.
