An innovative solutions company has an opening for an experienced Controller in the Cherry Hill, NJ office.

JOB TITLE: Controller

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

JOB RELATIONSHIP: Position directly reports to the CFO


  • Responsible for executing all day-to-day finance and accounting procedures including payables, receivables, cash management, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
  • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management
  • Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments
  • Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
  • Assist with or prepare client-related financial analysis
  • Prepare recurring business tax returns
  • Manage accounts receivable staff and processes including creation of invoices, collections, application of cash receipts and related metric reporting 
  • Oversee financial audits including both internal and external
  • Special Projects as needed. 


  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining accounting systems, Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains), NetSuite or similar systems
  • Prior experience managing a staff in Corporate Accounting with increasing level of responsibility, with at least two years tenure as a Controller or Assistant Controller
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • BA/BS in Accounting or similar business related field
  • CPA/CMA or related certification preferred

  • Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings and timely financial reporting
  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards
  • Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
  • Possess solid current technical accounting knowledge and US GAAP
  • Enjoy directing, coaching, and managing staff
  • Organizational skills and ability to build an efficient, flow of work
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
