Job Description:

Company is an innovative entity that was established in 2011 has developed tools for the Fixed Income markets.  The company has less than 50 employees but is well funded having recently received a significant  capital infusion.  The company is looking to dramatically increase their presence in the fixed income markets and think their unique product can do it.

The newly hired CFO needs to hire someone to take over the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions as well as provide finance support.  The accounting is currently being done by a contract employee and a shared employee.  The CFO was brought into set up a proactive finance function to help better manage and sell the business to current and potential investors.

The company is seeking an individual who has the attention to detail necessary to be an effective accountant but also the perspective and potential to expand with the company as it grows and the job becomes more complicated including budgeting, forecasting. At this point in time, they are willing to look at different combinations of experience, education, and professional credentials.  Experience in a software company particularly SaaS would be a significant plus.

We are looking for an individual who has done bookkeeping and financial reporting using QuickBooks or any other ERP package.  Work with or in a public accounting firm is a plus but not a requirement. We will are looking for a degreed candidate but will consider someone still in school close to graduation who can work full-time. 

Technical requirements include:

  • Bachelor degree – 3 or more years of experience.
  • Strong analytical abilities and excellent financial modeling skills
  • Exposure to ASC 606 would be great
  • Experience in FP&A and Investor Presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks
  • Exposure to accounting and/or payroll process improvement is a significant PLUS.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow with a business.
