Job Description:

Company is a privately held and rapidly growing Document Conversion Services and Software company that has been recently purchased by a private equity group. The Company’s headquarter offices are located in New Jersey.

The Senior Vice President (SVP) has the overall responsibility for the company’s financial functions. Specifically, The SVP is responsible for timely & accurate financial reporting and managing all aspects of accounting while ensuring policies and procedures are followed, including all relevant federal and state regulatory rules. This role will work directly with the company’s outside CPA in the preparation of the external and internal financial reviews and tax returns. This position reports to Chief Executive Officer with significant interaction and communications with the investors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the executive management team to develop and execute the financial strategy of the company
  • Oversee all matters related to accounting and finance • Manage the annual planning process and long-term business planning
  • Build processes to transition business from cash-based to accrual-based accounting
  • Build data capture and reporting systems to track and report GAAP revenue and profitability by revenue stream, by job, by location, etc....
  • Build processes to better track and manage multi-variable insurance collections process
  • Ensure internal controls and related processes
  • Analyze the financial impact of strategic business decisions • Develop a cash flow projection process and reporting to ensure adequate capital for operating needs
  • Manage cash flow and financial risk
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase profitability
  • Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities
  • Develop financial models to assess new business initiatives and expansion opportunities
  • Determine financing, investment, and asset management strategies to maximize return on capital
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff
  • Manage the annual audit
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry reporting

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILL SET:

  • 10 years of professional experience of which 5+ years of recent experience as a SVP, Finance with companies generating more than $20 million in revenue in either a business services or software company
  • Experience with consolidated financial reporting of multiple entities and multi-state operations
  • Demonstrated job stability
  • Multi-site, multi-state management a plus
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or related software
  • Exposure to best practices
  • Collaborative and team player
  • Good communication skills and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with institutional investors a plus

EDUCATION / CREDENTIALING:

  • CPA, experience with a top 10 CPA Firm is a plus
  • BS in Business, Accounting or Finance, MBA is a plus
  • Will consider investment banking, capital raising experience a plus
