Job Description:

Health E-Commerce is seeking a data-driven Director of Business Development to grow the business through smart, performance-based partnerships. You’ll lead in identifying and sizing new areas of expansion, analyzing competitive landscape and developing partnerships to drive to drive growth. This role reports to the Chief Strategy Officer and EVP of Corporate & Business Development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, analyze and size new market opportunities and conduct research to assess potential size of identified opportunities
  • Create partnerships within already identified strategic opportunities, including expansion of our TPA partnerships
  • Develop map of partnership opportunities in segments strategic and complementary to Health E-Commerce
  • Cultivate relationships with potential vendor partners and new developing businesses in the space
  • Secure meetings and conduct needs analysis when presenting
  • Generate recommendations about the opportunities and partners that HEC should pursue
  • Research and report on key trends that are of strategic importance to the businesses
  • Manage day-to-day relationships and communication with new business development partners
  • Partner with product and development to revise and refine our tools such as the HR resource center and the product eligibility list

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in healthcare or start-up environment a plus
  • Strong analytical and proven problem-solving skills are a key requirement
  • Ability to manage projects of varying size and scope simultaneously while prioritizing appropriately to achieve results and meet or exceed goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation experience
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively liaison with both internal teams and external partners
  • Extremely organized
  • BA/BS degree required
