Job Description:

The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. The Forum’s Center for Global Industries provides a platform to the world’s leading industry communities to shape the Industry Agenda and advance public-private cooperation.

The successful candidate for this role will support the Aerospace and Aviation, Travel and Tourism Industries (AERO and ATT) Industries communities to leverage all aspects of the Forums platform, supporting strategically aligned collaborations that drive systemic change , with particular focus on the Clean Skies for Tomorrow (CST) project which looks to accelerate the adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuels by addressing the additional cost and as well as low supply. The industries are part of the broader Platform on the Future of Mobility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages and curates a diverse and active community of stakeholders committed to effecting systemic change
  • Integrates AERO and ATT partner activities into the Forum platform in line with the community’s strategic objectives for change, strongly leveraging digital tools
  • Works cross-functionally within the team and across the Forum; responsible specifically for the Clean Skies for Tomorrow (CST) project
  • Integrates workstreams linked to the initiative, working with different external stakeholders from the aviation, energy, finance and corporate demand sectors
  • Ensures that constituents are informed of opportunities, standard practices and guidelines for establishing and running collaborative efforts in support of strategic objectives linked to CST but also to other topics such as biometric travel systems, air traffic regulations, governance, cyber resilience in aviation and others
  • Supports community-driven projects to access all benefits available on the platform, including networks, media and social media platforms
  • Ensures community engagement and quality control of activities on an ongoing basis
  • Works with communications leads and community management leads to share and communicate key opportunities, developments, milestones and successes

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years work experience in aerospace or aviation, international organizations or government;  experience in more than one sector
  • Strong understanding of the aerospace and aviation sectors and emerging trends; and a proven interest in global affairs or public interest
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
  • Strategic thinking with ability to identify trends and patterns of transformation
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate communities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and contextual and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English; verbal proficiency in other languages would be an asset
  • Committed to improving the state of the world, with solid values and ethical principles
