Job Description:

Private Equity firm in NYC is seeking a Management Company VP. Job responsibilies and knowledge requirements will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Technical accounting (FASB and SEC compliance)
  • Oversight of the group close process and SOX compliance efforts
  • Consolidation accounting and reporting
  • Noncash compensation accounting and reporting (including share info)
  • Accounting and reporting of Non-GAAP performance measures (Distributable Earnings, Book Value, Fee Related Earnings, Segment EBITDA)
  • Preparation and reporting of key operating performance measures (AUM, FPAUM, Capital Invested, Syndicated Capital, Dry Powder)
  • Accounting and reporting of GAAP performance measures
  • Preparation of the GAAP consolidated financial results (including financial statements and footnote disclosures)
  • Preparation of the MD&A
  • Preparation of SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks /earnings releases)
  • Preparation of audit committee and disclosure committee materials
  • Preparation of financial information for equity and debt offerings (144A)
  • Accounting due diligence on firm related acquisitions
  • Conduct primary accounting research to determine financial and SEC reporting implications for all new accounting standards, consolidation matters and corporate transactions
  • Lead efforts to document all corporate accounting policies and procedures
  • Oversee the consolidation accounting and the preparation of the GAAP consolidated financials (including statements and footnotes)
  • Oversee the process and execute the filings with the SEC (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks /earnings releases)
  • Assist in the preparation of audit committee and disclosure committee materials
  • Assist in the preparation of the earnings release
  • Oversee the SOX compliance program for PRG’s SOX processes
  • Assist internal audit in SOX compliance efforts (scoping and control deficiency assessments)

Required Experience and Credentials:

  • 10-15 yrs public or combo w/ strong SEC & technical accounting 
  • CPA required
