Job Description:

Company is a $40 million IT consulting firm that has its eye on $100 million. The company is building a leadership team to get there.  Company is seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who wants to grow with the Company and is willing to get their hands dirty.  The Controller will report to the CFO and will partner with Executive leadership to support the financial and operating strategies and develop reporting to measure progress.  Additionally, the Controller will have responsibility for IT platforms, employee benefits and hiring processes.                                      

Job Functions:


  • Maintaining general ledger in QuickBooks
  • Payroll using ADP
  • Billing processes and preparation and accounts receivable
  • Sales commissions
  • Accounts payable and vendor management
  • Managing cash flow including bank line of credit


  • Monthly results consistent with appropriate accounting and tax practices
  • Sales results and analysis by customer and salesperson
  • Operating results and metrics


  • Financial analysis supporting all business decisions
  • Analysis of performance metrics and how they support to financial results
  • Support for development and changes to compensation and commission plans

Additional responsibilities

  • Managing IT platforms and vendors
  • HR support for onboarding employees and managing benefit plans
  • Banking relationships
  • Maintaining relationship and support for tax advisors

 Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree – accounting degree preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks and payroll systems
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and reporting requirements
  • Experience with customer billing and accounts receivable
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Ability to partner with senior executives
  • IT and HR experience a plus
