Iowa DED Announces Film Program Moratorium

No additional film tax credits will be awarded in Iowa for the remainder of the state’s fiscal year which ends June 30. The Iowa Department of Economic Development has announced this week that it will instead focus on projects previously approved and contracted for the state film tax credit program. Freezing the program leaves approximately $12 million in film tax credits on the table – funds that will likely be shifted to other economic development programs in the state.
