What is your outlook for alternative investments?  

If 'alternative' means something that is not a stock or a bond, the answer is that it all depends on what the investment is. If it includes stocks and bonds, just in an unconventional form, it also depends on what it is. Either way, an investment should be viewed on its own merits whether considered mainstream or ‘alternative.’

Where do you see the greatest opportunities and why?

Asian markets over the coming ten years are expected to present the greatest opportunities because they are cheaper and it is the area of the world with the best growth dynamics.

Where do you see the greatest challenges and why?

The greatest challenges lie in trying to invest in markets that have been inflated by easy money that result in high valuations which now are deflating because money is becoming less cheap.

What keeps you up at night?

A sharp correction in markets due to higher inflation which in turn is driving higher interest rates and tighter monetary policy. Clients must extend their time horizons.
