EisnerAmper Asset Management Group Holds 2nd Annual Women’s Soiree

EisnerAmper’s Asset Management Group recently welcomed more than 60 women from the alternative investment industry working at hedge funds and allocators to our 2nd Annual Women’s Soiree. The event took place Wednesday, March 25 at Pampano in New York City; women ranging from portfolio managers to operations personnel and business development heads mingled over cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres.

 “We want to provide a forum where women in the alternative investment space can network and discuss things from the current market conditions to their summer vacation plans,” said Irina Gershengoren, Partner in the firm’s Financial Services Group. “We’re excited to have received such a positive turnout in only our second year hosting this event. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event and future female-centric events.”

Alternative investment data provider Preqin recently examined the representation of women in senior roles at hedge funds worldwide. Findings revealed that more needs to be done on gender equality; specifying that funds of hedge fund managers employ women in 11.1% of C-level positions, while single-manager hedge funds were at  10.3% and CTAs at 4.3%
