On May 7 in New York City, EisnerAmper and Real Estate Weekly brought together some of the top investors, owners, and developers in New York City Real Estate at the inaugural Real Estate Dealmakers Forum. Notable industry leaders including Toby Moskovits, Melissa Burch, Paul Massey, John Catsimatidis, Arthur Mirante, Peter Sibilia, Norman Sturner, Ofer Yardeni and Jonathan Schultz presented at the event, along with former Governor of New York State David Paterson and the Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Jeffrey Moerdler. The forum consisted of a variety of stimulating panel discussions focusing on the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in the NYC market. Topics such as the state of the real estate industry in New York City; major industry career moves; the impact of local and national policy issues on commercial real estate; and technology and real estate were discussed in great detail.

As this was the first Dealmakers Forum, a number of EisnerAmper team members played key roles. EisnerAmper CEO Charles Weinstein welcomed attendees in his opening remarks and introduced the discussions taking place that day. Partner Lisa Knee started the event by moderating the opening panel titled “New Beginnings.”  Additionally, partner Kenneth Weissenberg moderated a discussion that morning titled “State of the Industry.” Feedback on the event was very positive, and we hope to turn this forum into an annual event.   For more on each of the exciting discussions that took place at the Dealmakers Forum, please view the full articles below:
