Iowa Issues Film Tax Credits – Suspension Lifted for Productions that had Approval

The Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) has awarded financial incentives to two films according to a state announcement made on August 27, 2010. Though Iowa’s film incentive program was suspended in September 2009 after an internal review found several problems with the management of the program, these films were part of a pool of projects approved prior to the suspension. The state is allowing this group of projects to negotiate contracts with the Iowa Film Office. No new applications are being accepted for the Iowa Film, Television and Video Project Promotion Program until July 1, 2013.
