Charles Weinstein Named To NACD Directorship 100 At Gala Event
EisnerAmper CEO Charles (Charly) Weinstein was honored by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) at the NACD Directorship 100 gala on November 8 at the Waldorf Astoria. The honors dinner was held in conjunction with NACD’s annual Directorship Forum to recognize leadership in the boardroom and the corporate governance community. Mr. Weinstein was honored in the Governance Institutions and Professionals category where selections are based on the influence of the organizations the honorees serve.
This year’s honorees include one hundred leading corporate directors and chief executive officers as well as governance advocates who have demonstrated a commitment to upholding the highest standards and best practices in corporate governance. These professionals represent a range of companies including EisnerAmper, Apple, JPMorgan Chase, Coca-Cola, Walmart, Berkshire Hathaway Inc., General Electric and Unilever.
The 2011 list recognizes over 100 boardroom advocates in 13 categories: Regulators and Rule Makers, Investors, Exchanges, Attorneys and the Plaintiffs Bar, Academics, Auditors and Accountants, Compensation Advisors, D&O Liability Advisors, Journalists, Crisis Communications, Policy Advisors, Proxy, and Executive Recruiters.
In speaking about the NACD Directorship 100 and the importance of governance, Mr. Weinstein said, “I accept the honor on behalf of my colleagues; gratified by the fact that it recognizes the role EisnerAmper plays as an advocate for effective and transparent corporate governance.”
“The NACD Directorship 100 honorees have displayed their ability to apply their own individual attributes in raising the standards of boardrooms throughout the country,” said Kenneth Daly, president and CEO of NACD. “They have demonstrated core values in advancing corporate governance while also weathering the economic and regulatory uncertainties that have defined this past year.”
