The Charitable Cliff: Not-for-Profits, Contributions, and Potential Changes

The Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 has addressed many of the issues our leaders in Washington D.C. have struggled with over the last few years. to avert the fiscal cliff. However, considerable tax changes may still be on the table in 2013.  In light of this concern,  a senior accountant in our Jenkintown office, has put together a thoughtful article on charitable contributions, their place in the economy, and their value in the not-for-profit world. He also discusses the potential impact the fiscal cliff could still have on exempt organizations.
