NYC Mayor's Office Extends Reporting Deadline for Benchmarking Law

The New York City Mayor’s office issued a statement extending the reporting deadline for NYC’s benchmarking law to August 1, 2011.  New York City had enacted legislation requiring buildings over 50,000 sq. ft. to benchmark their energy use.  The legislation requires landlords to submit annual reports on their buildings’ energy use and the first report was originally due on May 1, 2011.  For more information on the benchmarking law, please click here.
