Deceased (April 14, 2021)
The Partners and Staff of EisnerAmper mourn the passing of our Partner and friend, Chris Emby, who had battled a sudden illness since December. Chris was so very proud of his 37-year public accounting career and counted himself fortunate to have been able to continually gain friendships, experience and ‘even some wisdom’ within this dynamic profession. He also truly enjoyed what he called non-client events such as participating in collection drives for Feed the Bay Area and Toys for Tots; joining together on AIDs walks through San Francisco; pulling weeds and planting daffodil bulbs in Golden Gate Park; and representing the firm as the designated ‘poker don’ to raise money for the San Francisco Hedge Funds Care poker event.
Shortly before his passing, Chris shared a letter with the EisnerAmper Partners and California Staff that included this message: “I trust that my clients will be in good hands. Please continue to dig deep and carry on being good to all our clients, good to each other, good to your own family members, and good to yourselves. Rest assured that I have confidence in you, I admire you and I will miss you. Thank you for everything. Good luck and stay well.”
Our condolences go out to his wife Julia, his family, and all his many friends. Chris will be sorely missed.
