Biography

Paul Kangail is a Managing Director in our Financial Services Group. With over 30 years of tax consulting experience, Paul provides tax compliance and advisory services to the financial services industry.

He specializes in tax services for investment partnerships, including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, fund of funds entities, and regulated investment companies. Services include entity and investment structuring analysis and planning and tax compliance. Paul also provides such offerings to the management and general partner entities to these funds to provide tax efficiencies to the owners of such entities.

Prior to joining the firm, Paul was a Tax Partner with a Big 4 accounting firm where he provided tax services and guidance on complex tax considerations for clients in the financial services industry.

Paul is a frequent speaker at financial services industry conferences in the Bay Area. He also enjoys guest lecturing at CalPoly San Luis Obispo on tax topics including investment partnership entity and investment tax considerations.
