Michal Meyer is a Director in the firm’s Professional Practice Group. She has more than 20 years of experience providing technical guidance on accounting and auditing issues. Michal has specialized knowledge on U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX internal controls, IPOs, merger and acquisition transactions, divestitures and other financial reporting matters.
During her career, Michal has provided technical advisory assistance to companies and engagement teams, and has served companies in many industries, including pharmaceutical, consumer goods, technology, and retail. Michal’s experience has covered a wide variety of accounting matters including business combinations, fair value accounting, revenue recognition, investments, consolidation, financial instruments and income taxes.
Prior to joining the firm, Michal worked for a Fortune 100 multi-national pharmaceutical company, leading the technical accounting function and overseeing accounting policy, financial reporting and internal control functions in addition to leading complex company-wide accounting projects and implementation of new accounting standards. Michal also spent close to eight years at a Big 4 accounting firm in Israel and in the U.S., where she managed compliance reviews for SEC filings and audits of SEC registrants, and advised clients on complex accounting and SEC matters. In addition she performed financial statement reviews of public companies reporting under the rules and regulations of the Israeli Securities Authority and International Financial Reporting Standards.
