Job Description

We’re looking for a seasoned communicator with the talent to build communications strategies that empower, educate, and engage colleagues. You must have experience developing communications and campaigns for C-suite leaders for topics like business transformation, M&A, DEI, and more. This role is able to sit in our New York City, Iselin or Philadelphia office.

As a strategic advisor to senior leadership, you must have a passion for designing and executing effective communications plans that align with a company's overall business and people strategy and inspire colleagues at all levels.

As our Director of Internal Communications, you'll report to the Chief People Officer, leading a team of three communication professionals, and will be responsible for internal communications for our 2,000+ colleagues around the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and distribute organizational, change, and people communications for firm-wide strategic initiatives.

  • Advise leaders for our service lines, operational departments and office locations on cascading and reinforcing on content.

  • Grow our internal communications function incorporating best practices and methodologies.

  • Write and edit internal communications (emails, scripts, presentations) on behalf of leadership.

  • Produce communications for colleague audience including Firm leader webcasts, intranet articles, and virtual (soon, in-person) meetings.

  • Ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency of communications that align with the Firm’s goals.

  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of communication.

  • Manage the internal communications calendar. 

  • Manage all modes of communication including the Pulse (our intranet) and local office location monitor messaging.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in internal communications including organizational, change, people, and executive communications

  • Creative and strategic thinker who can draft communication campaigns that connect with diverse and global audiences

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and editing skills

  • Strong people management skills

  • Knowledge of HR lifecycle preferred

  • Business acumen (understand our business)
