Workshops, Panels and Keynote Focus on Investment Options with Theme of Sustaining Family Wealth among Multiple Generations

The 2011 EisnerAmper Private Wealth and Family Office Summit, held this date in New York, brought together more than 130 business leaders and executives serving family offices and high net worth individuals. This third annual Summit was sponsored by the firm’s Personal Wealth Advisory practice and took place at the historic Pratt House, which now serves as the headquarters of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Summit Chair and EisnerAmper Partner, Marie Arrigo, and her Organizing Committee, presented an extensive program including three pre-conference workshops:  Family Offices and Financial Services, The ABCs of Fine Art and Collectibles; and Building Wealth through Real Estate.

 
The Main Session began with a thoughtful address from Dr. Jeffrey Solomon, President of the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies, entitled Leaving a Legacy: Philanthropy across Multiple Generations.  Two panel discussions followed:

  • Risk Management: Focus on Privacy and Cyberspace Issues, which zeroed in on what families must do to mitigate risk and protect privacy. The session was chaired by EisnerAmper partner, Tim Speiss and featured John Fodera, partner, EisnerAmper Consulting Services and Keith Hochheiser, Esq, from Hochheiser and Ettelman 
  • Emerging Markets and the Next Frontier was a unique exploration of the opportunities investors should consider both in emerging markets but also the more exotic markets such as Chile and Kazakhstan. Moderating was Dan Yu, Managing Director, EisnerAmper Investment Management Services, joined by Brent Lipschultz, partner, EisnerAmper Personal Wealth Advisory practice, and two renowned investment counselors, Edward Bozaan and Jonathan Hochberg.
  • The event concluded with a Keynote from Mark Kristoff of Traxys, Inc., entitled Global Eco-Sensitive Alternative Energy Resources which covered the remarkable opportunities for investors considering rare earth minerals.
